DESTINATIONS TO BE VISITED ON 20 DAYS KENYA CLASSIC SAFARI

SAMBURU GAME RESERVE: The reserve is a beautiful expanse comprising of arid land with grasslands, thorn trees, acacia and riverine forest vegetation. 

OL PEJETA CONSERVANCY: The Ol Pejeta conservancy is a not-for-profit wildlife conservancy and works to conserve wildlife and provide a sanctuary for great apes. It is also home the critically endangered northern white Rhino.

LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK: Lake Nakuru national park has over 400 bird species making it a bird watchers paradise and is famous for the flocks of the greater and lesser Flamingo. 

MASAI MARA : It is one of the best destinations in the world for wildlife viewing in their natural environment.

LAKE NAIVASHA : Lake Naivasha is a fresh water lake. It is abundant with bird life and the waters of the lake attract a wide range of game to the shores.

HELLS GATE NATIONAL PARK : There is a variety of wildlife that can be found within the park such as lions, leopards and cheetahs. Other animals more regularly seen include the hyraxes, hyenas, Thompson’s gazelle, zebras, eland, hartebeest and the African buffalo.

AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK : Amboseli national park’s main attraction is huge numbers of big tasked elephants which can be viewed at close range in their natural environment and also Mt Kilimanjaro.

TSAVO WEST NATIONAL PARK : It is one of the largest national parks in Kenya covering an area of 9065 sq km and truly a wilderness outpost. Birdlife is prolific with over 400 species.

TSAVO EAST NATIONAL PARK : It is also one of the largest game park in Kenya.

DIANI BEACH : Diani beach is considered as one the most popular beach in Africa boasting of sparkling white sands and lush greenery. It has been awarded the best beach destination in Africa for five years running.

20 DAYS KENYA CLASSIC SAFARI ITINERARY

Day 1: NAIROBI – SAMBURU

Depart Nairobi at 7AM and drive to Samburu game reserve. On arrival you will have lunch and rest. Later have game drives in Samburu national reserve. Return to the lodge in the evening.

Day 2: SAMBURU FULL DAY

On this day you will have morning and afternoon game drives.

Day 3: SAMBURU – OL PEJETA CONSERVANCY

After breakfast at the lodge, you will drive to Ol Pejeta Conservancy arriving  in time for lunch. After short rest you will proceed for a late afternoon game drive round this fascinating park returning to the camp for dinner and overnight.

• Distance: Approximately 151 kilometers .

Day 4: OL PEJETA CONSERVANCY

You will spend a full day enjoying various activities in the conservancy. Ol pejeta is home to chimpanzees and is the only place you can view them in Kenya. The northern white Rhinos can be viewed on advance arrangement.

DAY 5: ABERDARE NATIONAL PARK

You will depart Ol pejeta and drive to Aberdare national park. On arrival, you will be transferred to The Ark where you will be watching wildlife from the comfort of the lodge as they come to the water hotel. There is also the option of a guided bush walk at an extra cost.

Day 6: LAKE NAKURU

You will depart Aberdare national park in the morning and drive to Lake Nakuru. On the way, you will have a brief stop around Nyahururu at the equator marker. Arrive in time for lunch. After short rest you will have a late afternoon game drive in the park.

Day 7: LAKE NAKURU FULL DAY 

On this day you will have morning and afternoon game drives in this premier park.

Day 8:  LAKE NAKURU – MAASAI MARA

After early breakfast, you will depart for Masai Mara. On arrival, you will have lunch and a short rest. In the late afternoon, you will have game drives in the wildlife rich Mara north.

Day 9:  MAASAI MARA FULL DAY

On this day you will have full day game drives with packed lunch. Back to the lodge in the late afternoon.

Day 10:  MAASAI MARA – LAKE NAIVASHA

After breakfast be driven to Lake Naivasha. Arrive in time for lunch and short rest. In the afternoon you, will be taken to hells gate national park where you will have game drives with options of guided nature walk or cycling at an extra cost.

• Distance: Approximately 237 kilometers from Maasai Mara.

Day 11:  LAKE NAIVASHA – AMBOSELI

After breakfast, drive to Amboseli National Park with a brief stop at the Mai Mahiu to view the Great Rift Valley. You will arrive in time for lunch. In the late afternoon, you will have game drives in the elephant rich park

• Distance: Approximately 330 kilometers from Lake Naivasha.

Day 12: AMBOSELI FULL DAY

You will have morning and afternoon game drives visiting various  attractions in the park.

Day 13:  AMBOSELI – TSAVO WEST

After breakfast, you will be driven to Tsavo West national park. Have an en route game drive as you head to your lodge. Arriving around midday, have lunch and rest. Later have a late afternoon game drive.

• Overnight at Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge.
• Distance: Approximately 130 kilometers .

Day 14: TSAVO WEST FULL DAY

You will have morning and afternoon game drives visiting various attractions in the park.

Day 15:  TSAVO WEST -TSAVO EAST

After breakfast you will be driven Tsavo East national park. Have an en route game drive as you head to your lodge. Arriving around midday, have lunch and rest. Later have a late afternoon game drive.

• Overnight at Satao Camp.
• Distance: Approximately 160 kilometers .

Day 16:  TSAVO EAST FULL DAY

You will have morning and afternoon game drives visiting various attractions in the park.

Day 17:  TSAVO EAST – DIANI

After breakfast say bye to the African bush and be driven to Diani beach. You will also have lunch en-route. Arrive to the warm air of the Kenyan coast and friendly smiles of resort staff. The rest of the afternoon will be spend at leisure.

Day 18 & 19: DIANI FULL DAY

The rest of the days will be spent at leisure with the option of engaging in water sports at your own cost.

Day 20 : DIANI – NAIROBI

After breakfast, be transferred to Diani/Ukunda Airstrip for your flight to Nairobi. You will be picked at the airport and be hosted for lunch at the famous carnivore restaurant before being dropped back at the airport for you flight back home.
