DESTINATIONS

• LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK. It is a popular game park in Kenya famous for flamingos (Lesser and greater) and is usually referred to as a bird watchers’ paradise. Also home to the endangered rhino and Rothschild giraffe.
• MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE. This is one of the finest wildlife reserves in Africa famous for wildebeest migration and superb wildlife viewing all year round.
• SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK. It is a huge wildlife sanctuary comprising of 1.5 million ha of African savannah. Game viewing in the park is excellent right throughout the year.
• NGORONGORO CONSERVATION AREA. It is a UNESCO world heritage site and consist of short grass plains teaming with wildlife. Ngorongoro crater is located within the conservation area. It  is the world’s largest inactive and empty volcanic caldera, formed about 2 to 3 million years ago.
• AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK. The best place in Kenya to view large herds of elephants up close with a backdrop of Africa’s highest Mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro.

10 DAYS EAST AFRICA SAFARI ITINERARY

Day 1 : NAIROBI – LAKE NAKURU

You will be met by our company representative at your hotel/airport, briefed and thereafter depart for
Lake Nakuru. You will have a brief stop at the Rift-valley viewpoint where you view the
Great Rift Valley. Arrive in time for lunch and later have a late afternoon game drive in Lake
Nakuru National Park.

• Distance: Approximately 170 kilometers from Nairobi

Day 2 : LAKE NAKURU – MAASAI MARA

After breakfast at the lodge, you will have an en-route game drive in Lake Nakuru as you exit the park. Drive to Maasai Mara Reserve and arrive in time for lunch. After lunch and short rest you will have a late afternoon game drive, the best time to get a glance of the predators as they crawl out of their shadows. Back to the lodge in the evening

• Distance: Approximately 260 kilometers from Lake Nakuru.

Day 3 :  MAASAI MARA FULL DAY

Breakfast at the camp and thereafter enjoy full-day game drives with a visit to the Mara River where you
will get to see the huge crocodile as they bask in the sun and alongside them, you will also find hippos as
they yawn their way to the surface of the water. During the great wildebeest migration, this river turns
to a valley of death and only the fittest survive. Herds of wildebeests, zebras and antelopes cross the
Mara River to seek greener pastures.

Day 4 : MAASAI MARA – SERENGETI

After early morning breakfast at the lodge, you will drive through the southern part of Maasai Mara reserve as you proceed to Serengeti via Tanzania border at Isebania/Sirari. You will be assisted by your driver-guide to clear
customs. After pick up on the Tanzania side, you will have picnic lunch as you head towards Serengeti. On arrival, you will have on route game drive as you head towards your lodge.

• Distance: Approximately 358 kilometers from Maasai Mara to Serengeti 

Day 5 : SERENGETI FULL-DAY

After breakfast you will enjoy full-day game drives. Serengeti national park has rewarding bird viewing
with ostrich and Kori bastard being common, variety of larks, finches and raptors. Serengeti shares the
same eco-system with Masai Mara hence there are plenty to watch.

Day 6: SERENGETI – NGORONGORO

After breakfast drive to Ngorongoro conservation area arriving in time for lunch. The rest of the afternoon will be spent at leisure.

• Distance: Approx. 161 Kilometers from Serengeti NP. 

Day 7 : NGORONGORO FULL DAY

Breakfast at the lodge then proceed to have a full day game drive around Ngorongoro Conservancy with
a visit to the crater itself. Ngorongoro crater is a world heritage site and the world’s largest unbroken
volcanic caldera which is often referred to as the 8th wonder of the world. You will enjoy breath-taking
views of scenery and game can be witnessed from both the crater rims and within the crater.

Day 8: NGORONGORO – AMBOSELI

After morning breakfast at the lodge, drive to Namanga border where you will clear customs and enter Kenya and be driven to Amboseli national park. Situated close to the grand mass of snow-crowned Mt. Kilimanjaro. After lunch, you will have a late afternoon game drive.

• Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
• Accommodation: Amboseli Kibo Safari Camp.

 

 

Day 9: AMBOSELI FULL DAY

Have an early morning game drive to catch the beautiful backdrop of Africa’s highest mountain,
Mt. Kilimanjaro. Return for breakfast. After breakfast proceed for a thrilling game drive around Amboseli
National Park and return for lunch at the camp. After rest have a late afternoon game drive and
returning in the evening.

• Accommodation: Amboseli Kibo Safari Camp.

Day 10: AMBOSELI – NAIROBI

After breakfast, depart for Nairobi where you will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your departure flight home or be dropped at your city hotel. That will mark the end of the 10 days East Africa Safari.
