8-DAY KENYA WILDERNESS ADVENTURE AND BEACH RELAXATION SAFARI ITINERARY

Day 1: Nairobi to Lake Nakuru

You will be picked up from your Nairobi Hotel and driven to Lake Nakuru National Park. Have a brief stopover at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint before continuing to lake Nakuru arriving in time for lunch. After lunch and short relaxation you will have an afternoon game drive. To be seen are a myriad of bird species, endangered rhinos and Rothschild’s giraffe. Other animals found in the park include leopards, hyenas, cheetahs, and buffalos, among many others. After game drive return back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Lake Nakuru To Masai Mara

After break fast you will leave Lake Nakuru and drive to Masai Mara. At around midday, you will enter Masai Mara game reserve and have an en route game drive as you head to your lodge inside the reserve. After lunch and a short rest, embark on your afternoon game drive. Nowhere in Africa is wildlife more abundant like in the Masai Mara national reserve. It is one of the best destinations in the world for wildlife viewing in their natural environment. There are over 95 species of mammals, amphibians and reptiles and more than 400 birds species recorded in the reserve. In the evening you will retire to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast you will have a full day game drive with packed lunch. This will enable to cover a lot of ground in the vast Masai Mara. A balloon safari is also possible on this day early in morning but needs to be arranged at extra cost.
Wildlife is abundant in the reserve with all members of big five being found here. Other animals seen here include cheetah, serval, hyena, bat-eared foxes, black backed and side striped jackals, hippo, crocodile, baboons, warthog, eland, Thompson’s gazelle, Grant’s gazelle, impala, waterbuck, oribi, reed-buck and zebra. Birds are abundant which include more than 60 species of raptors. Some are eagles, vultures, ostriches, storks, little grebe, pelicans, cormorants & darter, herons, egrets, bitterns, hammer kop, shoebill, ibises, spoonbill, ducks, geese among many others.
Masai village visit is optional in the evening.
Return to Serena Lodge for dinner. After dinner you can relax around a bonfire being regaled with Masai stories or songs.

Day 4: Masai Mara National Reserve

Yet another day will be spent in Masai Mara. You can never have enough of the Masai Mara. On this day you will have an early morning game drive. Return to the lodge for breakfast and relaxation. You can indulge in the lodge amenities like the swimming pool or other activities. After lunch you will have and afternoon game drive.
Back to the lodge in the evening.

Day 5: Masai Mara to Diani Beach

After breakfast say bye to the African bush and head to Diani beach. You will be driven to the airstrip for your flight to Diani where on arrival you will be transferred to the resort. Arrive to the warm air of the Kenyan coast and friendly smiles of resort staff. The rest of the afternoon will be spend at leisure at the Diani beach which boasts of unspoiled white sands of these beaches.

Day 6 & 7: Diani

The rest of the days will be spend at leisure in the lodge with an option of engaging in water sports and activities at your own cost. Diani beach has been voted many times as one of the best beaches in Africa. With flawless long stretch of white sand hugged by lush forest and kissed by surf able waves which makes Diani beach very popular.

Day 8: Departure

You will check out of the hotel and drive to the airport for your local flight to Nairobi. In Nairobi you will have lunch or dinner at the famous carnivore restaurant and then later dropped at the airport for your international flight.
