TRIP SUMMARY

This 8-day wildlife & golfing safari is designed to give you maximum relaxation. It takes you away from the usual realities and routine and help recreate yourself and nourish your spirit. It also enables you to improve the social bond in case you travel as a family. The 8-day wildlife and golfing safari starts with a tour to Lake Nakuru national park.

Lake Nakuru National Park is ideal for bird watching, hiking, and game drives. The Park has Kenya’s largest population of rhinos. The surface of the Lake Nakuru occupies about a third of the park. It supports a dense bloom of the blue-green algae from which is a food source for flamingos. During peak season over millions of flamingos and Pelicans congregate on the lake.

Next destination is Maasai Mara National reserveThe Mara goes beyond description since it is not just tourist attraction but the reason to be in Kenya. The big game in Maasai Mara is indeed unforgettable. Maasai Mara is only a fraction of the great Mara ecosystemIt is located in the great Rift Valley in southern Kenya. The reserve can be visited all year round with emphasis on July through October when the great wildebeest migration happen.

Finally we will visit Lake Naivasha where you will relax in the tranquil environment while playing golf. Hugged by grassy banks and shingled with cacti and sand olive trees, the Rift Valley’s highest lake,  extends like a vast, sunlit sea. But there’s more to this spot than the lovely blue lake. You can ride among giraffes and zebras, sip on a glass of Rift Valley red, look for hippos on the lake and relax in the garden at Elsamere, the former home of late Born Free personality Joy Adamson.

For the traveling Golfer teeing off in one of Kenya’s many world class golf courses makes for a perfect break from a safari. Kenya’s weather is ideal for golf all year round making it one of the world’s top golfing destinations.

 

 

DAY ONE:

NAIROBI TO LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK

On arrival at the airport, you will be met by our company representatives. After meet and greet, you will leave for Lake Nakuru and arrive in time for lunch. After lunch and short rest proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park which is also known as a bird watchers paradise. Millions of flamingos are found on lake Nakuru turning the lake pink. It is also home to the endangered black rhino, big cats and other wild life.
Back to the hotel in the evening.

DAY TWO:

LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK TO MAASAI MARA

Depart Lake Nakuru early in the morning and drive to Masai Mara. You will arrive in time for lunch. Upon arrival you will check in at the lodge have lunch and relax and thereafter you will take your first thrilling afternoon game drive in the Masai Mara game reserve, one of East Africa’s top safari destinations. The Mara reserve incorporates 1510 km² of incredible, wide-open landscapes and fertile reverie woodland following the looping meanders of the Mara and Talek rivers in Kenya. One glimpse is enough to explain its appeal; it is typical open savannah, with a mass of amazing wildlife. Returning from your first foray into Masai Mara you will have dinner and relax under the stars, falling asleep to the sounds of the bush.

DAY THREE:

MAASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE

You will have full day of game viewing with packed lunch in Kenya’s finest wildlife park. You will also be taken to the Mara river. The big five and the plethora of other wildlife inhabiting this vast Kenyan game reserve. On clear days, the Mara offers fantastic orange tinged sunset’s well-worth capturing on camera. Wherever you go in the vast Masai Mara you will see a frequent amount of wildlife such as Masai giraffe, baboons, warthogs, bat eared foxes, grey jackals, spotted hyena, topis, impala, hartebeests, wildebeest. Elephants, buffaloes, zebras and hippos are also found in great numbers. It is also common to see lions either basking after a heavy meal, or surveying the plains for their next meal.

DAY FOUR:

MAASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE

You will have an early morning game drive. Return to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast you have an option of continuing with game drives or relaxing at the lodge. After lunch you will proceed on an afternoon game drive with a cultural visit to Masai village. Return to the lodge in the late evening.

DAY FIVE TO DAY SEVEN:

MAASAI MARA TO LAKE NAIVASHA

Depart Masai Mara in the morning and drive to Lake Naivasha. Lake Naivasha offers a tranquil environment which is good for relaxation. Here the days will spend at leisure and playing golf with an option of boat rides at your own cost. The golf course is an 18 hole championship. All golf holes are well bunkered, and there are five water features on the course. The air is fresh, temperatures range between 16º – 34º c. Rains are generally at night and golf is played the year round 12 hours a day. Golfers give right of way to the wild animals who have taken residence on the lush fairways and tiny islets in the ponds. Flocks of Black-headed Oriole, Fischers Lovebirds and Egyptian geese sun themselves on the greens without batting an eyelid at the golfers.

DAY EIGHT:

LAKE NAIVASHA TO NAIROBI

After breakfast depart Lake Naivasha on day 8 and return to bustling Nairobi, arriving in the afternoon. There is the option of shopping before we host you for dinner at the famous carnivore restaurant and then be dropped at the airport for your international flight.
