6 DAYS OFF THE BEATEN PATH KENYA SAFARI

6 Days off the Beaten Path Kenya Safari Summary

6 days off the beaten path Kenya safari is indeed unique. This is because it takes you to destinations which despite of their huge potential in high quality game viewing experience, do not receive many visitors. Meru National Park can be considered a best kept secret and a hidden gem while  Samburu National reserve and Ol pejeta are out of the normally crowded tourist circuits

The 6 days off the beaten path Kenya safari, starts in the morning in Nairobi to Meru National Park where you will be picked up from your hotel. You will have a view of scenic countryside and farms along the way. Meru National Park is a “Complete Wilderness’’ and a hidden gem. The Meru National park is most famous as the setting for Joy Adamson’s book “Born Free’’. The story of the Adamson’s life and research amongst Lions and Cheetahs.

The safari continues to Samburu National reserve which offers unique vistas of rounded, rugged hills and undulating plains. Situated alongside the Ewaso Nyiro River, there is plenty to attract wildlife from the surrounding savannah plains. Many species found here are unique.

From Samburu National reserve, this safari takes you to Ol Pejeta Coservancy. Also known as a rhino sanctuary in Kenya. It is also home to two of the world’s last remaining northern white rhino. It is the only place in Kenya to see chimpanzees. The Sanctuary rehabilitates animals rescued from the black market.
