6 DAYS 5 NIGHTS KENYA SAFARI

6 DAYS  5 NIGHTS KENYA SAFARI TOUR SUMMARY

The 6 days 5 nights Kenya safari starts by visiting Meru National Park. It has been branded as “Complete
Wilderness’’. The park is most famous as the setting for Joy Adamson’s book “Born Free’’, the story of the Adamson’s life and research amongst Lion and Cheetah. Meru National Park is also home to the Big Five. Big herds of Elephants migrate through the park. Big cats are more difficult to spot, but it isn’t rare to have a sighting all to yourself. The guarded rhino sanctuary is an exhilarating highlight and you’re virtually guaranteed to both see black and white rhinos in their wild habitat. Visitors can see Grevy’s zebras, elephants, Bohor reedbucks, hartebeests, pythons, puff adders, cobras, buffalos.

The safari continues to Samburu National Reserve that offers unique vistas of rounded, rugged hills and undulating plains. The Samburu National reserve has as its backdrop the great table mountain Ololokwe. The mix of wood and grassland with riverine forest and swamp home to a wide variety of animal and bird life, Buffalo Springs records over 365 species of bird. Situated alongside the Ewaso Nyiro River, there is plenty to attract wildlife from the surrounding Savannah plains. Many species are rarely found elsewhere in Kenya.

We shall finally wind up our safari with a visit to Ol Pejeta Conservancy which is the largest black rhino sanctuary in east Africa. It is also home to two of the world’s last remaining northern white rhino. It is the only place in Kenya to see chimpanzees, in a Sanctuary established to rehabilitate animals rescued from the black market. Ol Pejeta Conservancy also seeks to support the people living around its borders. This is to ensure wildlife conservation translates to better education, healthcare and infrastructure for the next generation of wildlife guardians.
