Prepare yourself for a whirlwind of wonders with Kichaka tours and travel in this 6 days 5 nights Kenya Safari package. First leg of the tour sees you visit the Amboseli National Park. The one place that offers you an awe inspiring view of the tallest mountain in Africa. It is also the best places in Africa to view large herds of elephants up close.

Nature lovers can explore five different habitats here ranging from the dried-up bed of Lake Amboseli, wetlands with sulphur springs, the savannah and woodlands.  They can also visit the local Maasai community who live around the park and experience their authentic culture.

Have a brief overnight stop at the Lake Naivasha. Naivasha is a world class birding destination. You will then move on to the Masai Mara National Reserve known as one of the finest wildlife destinations in the world, with an excellent chance of seeing the big five, cheetah, serval, hyena, bat-eared foxes, black-backed and side-striped jackals, hippo, crocodile, baboons, warthog, topi, eland, Thompson’s gazelle, Grant’s gazelle, impala, waterbuck, oribi, reed-buck and zebra. The Masai Mara is regarded as the jewel of Kenya’s wildlife viewing areas.

Finally visit Lake Nakuru National Park. Flanked by rocky escarpments, pockets of acacia forest and at least one waterfall, the park is gorgeous year-round and is home to both black and white rhinos, lions, leopards, hippos and endangered Rothschild’s giraffes.

Visitors can enjoy the wide ecological diversity and varied habitats that range from Lake Nakuru itself. The surrounding escarpment and picturesque ridges can also be enjoyed. Lake Nakuru National Park is ideal for bird watching, hiking, picnic and game drives. Lake Nakuru is also a bird sanctuary.

DAY ONE:

NAIROBI TO AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK

DISTANCE: 232.6KM TIME: 4HRS 30MINS

Upon arrival you will be met by our company representative and your driver guide at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. After which you will be driven to the Amboseli National Park. Arrive in time for lunch. After lunch  enjoy an afternoon game viewing drive in search of the free range tusked elephants, wildebeest, lions, cheetahs, hyenas, Masai giraffe among other animals. Here you will also get to enjoy the breath-taking photogenic view of Mount Kilimanjaro Kilimanjaro; weather permitting. Return to the camp in the evening.

DAY TWO:

AMBOSELI TO LAKE NAIVASHA

DISTANCE: 309KM TIME: 6HRS

Depart from Amboseli after an early breakfast and drive towards Lake Naivasha where you will arrive in time for lunch. After which you will head out to Naivasha to discover its best kept secret; the Crescent Island. This wondrous island is in Lake Naivasha which is a beautiful freshwater lake fringed by thick papyrus and its surroundings are rich in natural bounty abound in bird life such as fish eagles, ospreys, lily trotters, a variety of herons and over 200 more species. You will enjoy a boat ride on the glittering lake Naivasha and view the herds of hippos and various water birds found within the lake on your way to the island. At the island you get a chance to be up close to the array of wildlife such as giraffes, waterbucks, elands, wildebeest, zebras, impalas and the elusive Columbus Monkey. The sanctuary does not contain any predators, so it is perfectly safe to do the walk with the appointed guide.

 DAY THREE:

NAIVASHA TO MASAI MARA

DISTANCE: 216KM TIME: 4HOURS

On this day you will have breakfast then head to the Mara.  This area of preserved savannah wilderness covers an area of 1510km2 and is part of the vast Serengeti plains. It is widely known for its picturesque wildebeest Migration. It is home to the big five that is the lion, the buffalo, the rhino, the elephant and the leopard among other magnificent animals such as the giraffes, black backed jackal, bat eared fox, Thomson gazelle, topi and hartebeest. It also harbors over 500 different species of birds such as ostrich, bustard, white backed vulture, secretary bird and marabou stork. Upon your arrival you will proceed to your lodge for your lunch before you head out for an afternoon game drive through the astounding reserve. All your flora and fauna related questions will be aptly answered by your driver guide as you make your rounds.

DAY FOUR:

FULL DAY GAME DRIVES

Have breakfast and then proceed for a full day tour game viewing in Kenya’s finest wildlife Reserve, the Masai Mara National Reserve. The morning and afternoon game drives take you in search of Africa’s Big Five and the plethora of other wildlife inhabiting this vast Kenyan game reserve. On clear days, the Mara offers fantastic orange tinged sunset’s well-worth capturing on camera. Wherever you go in the vast Masai Mara you will see a frequent amount of wildlife. It is also common to see lions either basking after a heavy meal, or surveying the plains for their next meal. Leopards are harder to spot, but reasonably common. Back to the camp in the evening.

DAY FIVE:

MAASAI MARA TO NAKURU

DISTANCE: 216KM TIME: 4HOURS

After breakfast, drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. This day is spent game viewing within the park, which is renowned for its conservation efforts towards the black rhino. Have lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drives across the pink lake often referred as that due to its great masses of flamingos but due to high level of water and climate change, only few flamingos can be spotted. Look out for other wild animals like warthogs, water-buck, buffaloes, reed-bucks and the occasional leopard as well as white and black rhino which were introduced to the park a few years ago.

DAY SIX:

 LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK TO NAIROBI

On your final day you will have breakfast then check out of your hotel. Arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon. Later be dropped at your hotel or at the airport for your international flight home-bound.
