A vacation like the Kenya holiday will give you an opportunity to break away from your daily routine and enjoy the benefits that come with spending sometime from your usual environment. A Kenya holiday will also enable you to spend quality time with your family.

Whether you are an individual traveler, travelling as a couple or with children or friends, you will find tips for Kenya Holiday in this article.

Any vacation planning will normally follow the summarized guidelines below:

  1. Decide the length of your trip.
  2. Establish a budget.
  3. Choose a destination.
  4. Consider any documentation and vaccinations you might require.
  5. Pack your bags

Decide the length of your Kenya Holiday

The length of your trip will depend with the free time that you have available. Kenya holiday itinerary can be between a minimum of 3 days safari to a 14 days safari or even more.  Depending on someone’s interest and available time, there many safari itineraries to choose from. Kenya is a country that has it all, from dense virgin forests to mystical deserts, vast Savannah grassland, impressive mountainous regions to the extensive wildlife within various parks and reserves such as Africa’s best game reserve, the Masai MaraIt also boasts of enchanting beaches and several world heritage sites.

Most safaris revolve around Masai Mara. It is a must visit game reserve in Kenya because it is premiere park in Africa. A three day safari will mostly involve visiting the Masai Mara only as that is the minimum recommended days of visiting the reserve. If someone has more days, some other parks can be included to the itinerary with the Masai Mara being part of the destination to be visited. An example is a 4 day Kenya safari or a 5 day Kenya safari. Availability of more days can include visiting other  popular parks. For repeat visitors, there are many Kenya attractions to be visited. The places already visited can be excluded and new places listed on the itinerary. You can opt for National parks or game reserves which are rarely visited and are a hidden gem while on an off the beaten path safari. Masai Mara is so enchanting that you will find repeat tourists visiting it again.

For the elderly and young children, a safari can be grueling and it can be a good idea to have at least 2 nights in a destination which will reduce the issue of packing and unpacking and checking out frequently. Children would also want places where they are able to engage in activities like playing, bike ridings, swimming etc.

If you have enough days, time at the beach is a perfect way to end a safari. A few days at the beach will give you time to relax, unwind and rejuvenate your energy. Kenya has some of the best beaches in Africa.

When planning the length of a holiday, one of the first things you might think of when planning your trip is figuring out how long you want to go. The number of days can be difficult to choose because you don’t want to book a short trip and realize in the middle of it that you want to keep on going. Researching and having objectives of your holiday will help you arrive at the right decision.
