4 DAYS LAKE NAKURU AND MASAI MARA SAFARI  

The 4 days lake Nakuru and Masai Mara Safari takes you to two premier destinations in Kenya, Lake Nakuru National Park and Masai Mara National Reserve. It  starts with Lake Nakuru National Park which is a worlds class birding destination and a haven for the endangered rhino and also the Roth’s child giraffe. The lake is also listed as world heritage site by UNESCO. Lake Nakuru National park offers easy wildlife viewing of most big safari animals with the exception of elephants. The rare Roth’s child giraffe and endangered black and white rhino are common in the park and large herds of cape of buffalos, dikdik, klipspringer, eland, the occasional leopard and many others. Lake Nakuru National Park is among Kenya’s finest national parks. It is well known for its conservation efforts towards the endangered black and white rhinos and the Rothschild giraffe. There are more than 50 different species of mammals including, white rhinos, waterbucks, buffalos, and baboons. It’s also renowned for its millions of pink flamingos lining the shores of Lake Nakuru.

DAY 3: FULL DAY MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE

On this day, you have an option a morning and afternoon game drives or a full day game drive with packed lunches. The game viewing drives will  take you in search of Africa’s Big Five and the plethora of other wildlife inhabiting this vast Kenyan game reserve.  Wherever you go in the vast Masai Mara you will see a frequent amount of wildlife such as Masai giraffe, baboons, warthogs, bat eared foxes, grey jackals, spotted hyena, topis, impala, hartebeests, wildebeest. 6 DAYS KENYA SAFARI

The 6 days Kenya Safari will take you to some of Kenya’s premier parks. On the first day of the tour you will visit the Amboseli National Park which offers you an awe inspiring view of the tallest mountain in Africa. It is also the best places in Kenya to view large herds of elephants up close. Nature lovers can explore five different habitats here ranging from the dried-up bed of Lake Amboseli, wetlands with sulphur springs, the savannah and woodlands. You will also have an optional visit to the local Masai community who live around the park and experience their authentic culture.

From Amboseli National Park, you will have a brief overnight stop at the Lake Naivasha as you head to the Masai Mara. Lake Naivasha is a world class birding destination. It is a fresh water lake with sandy banks and fringed with papyrus. The lake is also surrounded by forests of the yellow barked Acacia Xanthophlea, also known as the yellow fever tree. These forests are abundant with bird life. The waters of the lake attracts a wide range of game to the shores. Giraffes and waterbucks wander among the acacia. Buffalos are common. Colobus monkeys are seen on the treetops while the lake’s large hippo population can be easily seen.

After Lake Naivasha, the 6 Days Kenya Safari will take you to to the Masai Mara National Reserve , one of the finest wildlife destinations in the Africa. Nowhere in Africa is wildlife more abundant like in the Masai Mara National Reserve. It is one of the best destinations in the world for wildlife viewing in their natural environment. 15-DAYS RUSTIC KENYA WILDLIFE AND DIANI BEACH SAFARI 

Your 15-days rustic Kenya wildlife and diani beach safari starts at Aberdare National park. Game animals easily seen in the park during game viewing include; African Elephant, black rhino, leopard, spotted hyena, olive baboon, black and white colobus monkey, sykes monkey, cape buffalo, warthog. Rare sightings include those of bongo, golden cat, serval cat, African wild cat, African civet cat, blue duiker. Bird viewing is rewarding with about 290 recorded bird species, including the Aberdare Cisticola and the Jackson’s francolin. 

The next destination in this 15-days rustic Kenya wildlife and diani beach safari  will be Samburu National Reserve   where you will spend 2 nights. The reserve is rich in wildlife with fame for abundance in rare northern specialist species such as the Grevy Zebra, Somali Ostrich, Gerenuk and the Beisa Oryx also referred as (Samburu Special). The reserve is also popular with a minimum of 900 elephants. From lake Naivasha you will head to Amboseli National Park. Crowned by Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain, the Amboseli Park is one of Kenya’s most popular parks. It is well known for large herds elephant and you can view elephants up close.

After Amboseli visit Tsavo West National park. Tsavo West national park is a beautiful, rugged wilderness. Tsavo West offers some of the most magnificent game viewing in the world. Tsavo East National Park  is the last game viewing destination before heading to the beach. Tsavo East National Park is well known for dust red elephants due to the color of soil in the area. DAY NINE: AMBOSELI TO TSAVO WEST NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast drive leisurely to Tsavo West national Park with packed lunch and have a full day game drive. The park is a vast expansion of African Savannah with a more diverse array of habitats which include open plains, semi desert scrub, woodland, chyulu hills and rock outcrops.

Your first destination on your off the beaten path Kenya safari will be at Lake Naivasha. The region surrounding the Lake is well worth exploring. Naivasha is a world class birding destination. The waters of the lake draw a great range of game to these shores. Giraffes wander among acacias, Colobus monkeys call from the treetops while the large hippos sleep the in the shallows.

Our next destination will be Masai Mara National Reserve. It is Kenya’s finest and most outstanding wildlife reserve. Masai Mara National Reserve is one of the most popular tourism destinations in Kenya. It is well known for wildebeest migration, which takes place every year from late June to October.

Later visitLake Nakuru National Park. The park is gorgeous year-round and is home to both black and white rhinos and the endangered Rothschild’s giraffes. Lake Nakuru National Park is ideal for bird watching, hiking, picnic and game drives.

Samburu National reserve  is one of the destinations which has less crowd and a very unique park. It has its own big five specific to the reserve. They are the Grevy Zebra, Somali Ostrich, Reticulated Giraffe, Gerenuk and the Beisa Oryx also referred to as Samburu Special.

You will also visit Mount Kenya National Park The mountain’s rugged glacier-clad peaks provides a perfect backdrop while viewing wildlife. Elephants are a common sight in this park. In addition to the elephant, you will spot other animals such as: white tailed mongoose, suni, black fronted duiker, mole rat, bush-bucks, water-buck and elands. Other animals include, tree hyrax, leopards, black rhinos, and buffaloes.

The last park to visit is Meru National Park which is a wild and beautiful park. It Straddles the equator and bisected by 13 rivers and numerous mountain-fed streams. Meru National Park is also home to the Big Five. Big herds of Elephants migrate through the park. There are over 300 species of birds. They include: Red-necked falcon, Heuglins courser, brown-backed woodpecker, sunbirds Peter’s Fin foot, inhabiting the Murera and Ura Rivers; Pel’s Fishing Owl, kingfishers, rollers, bee-eaters, starlings and weavers.The Park is most famous for Joy Adamson’s book “Born Free”. The story of the Adamson’s life and research amongst lion and cheetah. “Elsa” the well known lioness’s grave is here.

Itinerary

DAY ONE: NAIROBI TO LAKE NAIVASHA

Pick up from your Nairobi hotel and drive to Lake Naivasha with a brief stop at Mai Mahiu view point to see the Great Rift Valley. You will then be driven straight to the Hells Gate National Park national park where you will have a guided walking tour among wild animals. After having lunch at your hotel will spend the afternoon at leisure with the option of enjoying boat rides at your own cost.

DAY TWO: LAKE NAIVASHA TO MASAI MARA

Depart Lake Naivasha early in the morning and drive to Masai Mara arriving in time for lunch. Upon arrival you will check in at the lodge and have lunch and after relaxing briefly taken for late afternoon game drive in the game reserve, one of East Africa’s top safari destinations. The Masai Mara is typical open Savannah with a mass of amazing wildlife. Returning from your foray into the Masai Mara you will have dinner and later fall asleep to the sound of the African bush.

DAY THREE TO FIVE: MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE

On the third day you will proceed for a full day tour game viewing in Kenyas finest wildlife reserve. The game drives take you in search of Africa’s big five and the plethora of wildlife inhabiting this vast territory. .

Wherever you go within the Mara you will see a frequent amount of both birdlife and wildlife. which includes giraffe, baboons, warthogs, bat-eared foxes, grey jackals, spotted hyena, topis, impalas, hartebeests and wildebeest. It is also common to see lions either basking after a heavy meal or surveying the plains for their next one. You will also have an opportunity to visit a masai village at with the arrangement of the driver guide.

DAY SIX: MASAI MARA TO LAKE NAKURU

Depart from Masai Mara after an early breakfast and head to Lake Nakuru.  Arrive in time for lunch at the hotel. After a short period of relaxation you proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park popularly known as a bird watchers paradise. Millions of flamingoes are found on the lake giving it a pink hue. It is likewise home to the endangered black rhino, big cats and other wildlife.

Back to the lodge in the evening.

DAY SEVEN: LAKE NAKURU TO SAMBURU GAME RESERVE

After Breakfast leave for Samburu National Reserve arriving in time lunch. After lunch proceed for an afternoon Game drive.

Samburu National Reserve is situated on the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River in Kenya. This means plenty of water, trees and shade to attract wildlife like the elephant, lion, leopard giraffe and zebra from the surrounding savannah plains. Cheetahs are also regularly spotted.

DAY EIGHT AND NINE: FULL DAY SAMBURU GAME RESERVE

DAY TEN: SAMBURU TO MOUNT KENYA NATIONAL PARK

Depart Samburu early in the morning and proceed to Mount Kenya National Park. Mount Kenya is Africa’s second highest mountain and is a world heritage site. It is a pristine wilderness with lakes, tarns, glaciers, dense forests, mineral springs and a selection of rare and endangered species of animals such as the tree hyrax, the white tailed mongoose, black fronted duiker, molerat, bushbucks and eland. You will arrive in time for lunch and afterwards the rest of the afternoon will be spent at leisure in the lodge while watching the animals come to have a drink at the waterhole. Nature walks in the rain forest can be arranged at an extra cost.

DAY ELEVEN: MOUNT KENYA TO MERU NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast you will depart from Mount Kenya and drive to Meru National Park where you will arrive in time to have your lunch and relax and get acquainted with your new surroundings. After that brief period of relaxation you will then embark on an evening game drive within the park.

DAY TWELVE AND THIRTEEN: MERU NATIONAL PARK

This is truly an off the beaten path destination. In these two days you will have morning and afternoon game drives within the park with less crowd. Meru wildlife includes large herds of Buffalo, Bushbuck, Duiker, Eland, Elephant, Gazelle, Genet, Giraffe, Hartebeest, Impala, Kudu, Waterbuck and Grevy Zebra.

Expect to see Baboons, Hyena, Jackal, Kudu, Lion, Mongoose, Oryx, Oribi, Vervet Monkey and Warthogs, Bush-pig, Porcupine, Black and White Rhino. The rivers are abound in Hippo and Crocodile. Bird life includes Peter’s fin foot which inhabits the Murera and Ura Rivers, the Pel’s fishing Owl, Kingfishers, Rollers, Bee-eaters, Starlings and numerous weavers.
