Day 1: Nairobi – Samburu Game Reserve
After breakfast depart Nairobi at 0700hrs and drive to Samburu National Reserve arriving in time for lunch at the Lodge.

Samburu National Reserve known as the home to the ‘special five’ is located 325 kms north of Nairobi in the hot and arid northern region of Kenya. Samburu is also home to the third of Kenya’s giraffe species – the rare Reticulated Giraffe (only found in the Northern parks). This is also where you see the blue-legged Somali Ostrich, the long-necked Gerenuk gazelle and the straight-horned Beisa Oryx antelope.

Day 2: Samburu Game Reserve
Full day with morning and afternoon game drive. Optional visit to Samburu villages at an extra cost.

Day 3: Samburu – Mount Kenya National Park
Depart from Samburu after lunch and drive to Mt Kenya arriving in time for lunch at Mount Kenya Safari Club. In the afternoon, have a game drive at the park.

 Day 4: Mount Kenya –Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast depart for Lake Nakuru National Park, via the view-point of the Great Rift Valley arriving in time for lunch. Proceed for an afternoon game drive and get to see the famous Lake known for its prolific birdlife including flamingoes. The park contains a sanctuary for the conservation of the white and black Rhino.

DAY 5: Nakuru-Maasai Mara National Reserve

Early breakfast at the lodge then depart for Maasai Mara arriving in the late afternoon.

The Maasai Mara National Reserve is Kenya’s finest wildlife reserve. Everything about this reserve is outstanding. The wildlife is abundant and the gentle rolling grasslands ensure that animals are never out of sight. Birds, too, are prolific. Including migrants, well over 450 species have been recorded, among them, 57 species of birds of prey. The climate is gentle, rarely too hot and well-spread rainfall year round. Rain, when it falls almost always chooses the late afternoon or night. Between July and October, when the great wildebeest migration is in the Maasai Mara National Reserve, the sensation is unparalleled.

Day 6: Maasai Mara Game Reserve

0630 hrs -Early morning game drive in the Mara. Later, return to the camp for late breakfast. Rest of the morning at leisure. (On this day, you also have an optional balloon ride- at an extra cost with pick up from the lodge at 0500hrs) After lunch at the lodge, proceed for an afternoon game drive till dusk.

Dinner and overnight at either Mara Sopa Lodge.

Day 7: Maasai Mara- Nairobi

Breakfast at the camp and return to Nairobi arriving at around late afternoon with drop off at your hotel or at the airport.
